Lovina Chizoba Mensah
The name of my business is VinaStitches, and we have over 70 customers. If given a grant, VinaStitches would invest in several key areas to enhance its services, expand its reach, and ensure long-term sustainability
How the grant would help my business
The grant would help my business, VinaStitches, generate more income in several key ways:
- Equipment Upgrade: I would invest in modern, high-efficiency knitting machines and tools, allowing me to take on more complex projects and complete work faster. This would increase my capacity and potentially allow me to serve more customers.
- Purchase of sewing materials in bulk. This includes lining, zips, buttons, thread, needles, lace fabrics, velvet, organza, stretch fabrics, and more which will increase my profit margin and reduce expenses of purchasing outside from retailers.
By leveraging the grant in these ways, we anticipate being able to serve more customers, offer higher-value services, and ultimately increase our overall income and profitability from 40% to 85%
Difficulties facing Vinastitches
Lack of knitting machine and sewing materials which I spent time and money to rent and purchase, for instance, I rent the knitting machine for 2ghs per dress currently, therefore I spent 40ghs for 20 dresses
The cost of sewing materials increases on a daily basis, I spend a lot traveling to buy sewing materials to complete a customer’s dress.

YOUR NET INCOME
Net income, also known as net profit or the bottom line, is a key financial metric that represents the amount of money I have left after accounting for all expenses, costs, and taxes. Here’s a concise explanation:
Net income = Total revenue – Total expenses
$83 as Total Revenue as of April 2024. There was a total expense of $51
This amounts to a net income of $32
This figure shows how much profit I generated over a specific period in April
