Adam Joseph of Port Harcourt, Nigeria is a skilled leather craftsman using an old manual sewing machine. He frequently gets orders for 1,000+ bags or shoes, which he cannot accept without the help of electric, industrial sewing machines. With a $1,000 grant, he will be able to purchase the right machines to generate 600% more revenue. Mercy Hoetornyo of Ashaiman, Ghana, owns Healthy Life Supermarket. Her provisions shop sells cereals, soft drinks, rice, sanitary products, water, etc. She is a mother of a 3 year old and works in this business full time to support her family. She has a solid business plan, healthy margins, and comes highly recommended by the business coach teaching her self reliance course about entrepreneurship. She seeks a $1,000 grant for inventory to stock her store…Read More
Comfort Amanor of Accra, Ghana is the owner of Sly dot Com Beverages. She desires to expand her part-time beverages store into a full-time convenience store that sells drinks and staple foods to customers. She seeks a $500 grant (for a fridge at $160 and $340 of inventory). She has also graduated from the 12 week course Starting and Growing My Business. She has a solid business plan, good margins, and operates in an underserved part of the city with few competitors.… Read More
